~what I want~

Not a dozen of roses on valentine,
Not taking me out to a 5 star hotel to dine.
Not someone who serenades me all night long,
Or put his love for me in a song.
Not SRK on his knees begging for me,
Or Brad Pitt, Leo Dicaprio or even Jason Godfrey.

Not his money, good looks or PHD,
Will make him the right guy for me.

All I want is this, you see.
A guy who will always be there for me.
Through thick and thin, sad or happy,
And even when I’m crazy, moody or cranky.

I’m a lot to handle, I know.
But please be there through my tears and sorrow.
Be proud of me when I don’t feel proud,
And convince me of myself when I’m in doubt.

A guy who loves my family as I does,
Another son for my parents to call theirs.
A brother my siblings can look up to,
Someone my friends in need can turn to.

A guy I can talk for hours to, and he’d listen,
And would share his life with me in return.
Someone who says ‘I love you’ to me; and mean it,
And do everything in his power to prove it.
Someone to love and care for me in older days,
When I’m fatter, uglier and worst in many ways.
Who wishes me ‘Good Morning’ be it rain or shine,
That guy who points towards me and says, “She’s mine”.

Not someone who whisper sweet words to my ears,
Enough with a guy who is truthful and sincere.
Whose bright mind involves in things that matter,
And encourages me to always be better.

This is the guy I wish to find,
To him I’ll give my love until the end.
I’ll search and wait for him day and night,
So if you’re not that guy, take a hike!
